Paranormal Research Definitions
For those who have a limited knowledge of paranormal research, we have provided a brief list of definitions you hopefully find helpful.
Demon - Evil Spirit.
Elemental - Supernatural Being.
Ghost - The soul of a dead person believed to be an inhabitant of the unseen world or to appear to the living in body likeness.
Paranormal Activity - An event or phenomenom that cannot be explained by scientific laws or natural forces.
Poltergeist - Noisy, usually mischievous ghost held to be responsible for unexplained noises such as rapping.
Spirit - Supernatural being or essence.
As you can see, these definitions provide little information paranormal researchers can use to design investigations to provide tangible proof of paranormal activity. Modern science considers paranormal research to be a pseudoscience. They base this upon the fact that the Scientific Method cannot be applied in this research due to the inability to develop experiments with the same outcomes proving their hypotheses. Folks, from our years of research, if spirits do not want to talk or "perform", they will not!
Since so little is known concerning causes for paranormal activity, researchers must rely on not only audial and visual documentation, but also environmental measurements based upon common paranormal theories.
